Stress Less Mantras

It’s amazing how hopeful and peaceful we can feel when we speak truth. It’s like your mind and body knows when we’re being honest with ourselves and resets something inside. Here are some truths I think to myself and say aloud (at least some of them) every day to help me get through the hard times.


I try to think or speak these mantras in the morning, mid-day, and at night. Of course, they’re helpful during moments of crisis too, but it’s easier to remember them when it’s a natural reaction from previous practice. If you’ve never used mantras before, I highly recommend you try! It’s OK if it feels a little weird at first. I thought it did! Because it’s something new, that’s likely. But now they help me more grounded and confident, like the person I want to be as a mother, wife, and human.


So give these a try! Soon you too can be a master of mantras and your own emotions!

I am powerful.

I am confident and capable.

I am worthy.

I am a mature adult and I can handle this. (A great friend gave me that one.)

I am beautiful just the way I am.

Just keep swimming. (Dori gave me that one.)

I am strong when I am weak.

I don’t sweat the small stuff.

I am safe.

This too shall pass.

Life is tough, but I am tougher.

Things happen for a reason.

I’ve come this far, and I’m still swimming.

I am a child of God, and He doesn’t make mistakes.
