A happy mind is one that takes care of itself. It thinks thoughts that keep it safe. Those safe thoughts then create happy emotions that allow us to be our best, joy-filled selves.
Mental highs are one of the M&M’s that help me take care of my mind. What IS a mental high? It’s when you truly FEEL the joy that comes from seeing the beauty around you or the people you call friends. It’s when you’re overcome with love and faith. It’s when you feel empowered and like you can do anything!
Sometimes these tender moments happen on their own. Other times they need a little encouragement. Music is one of those kick-starters.
Music rocks for soooo many reasons. But I want to suggest one way music can make your life rock that you might not have considered yet. Music can actually help change the way you look at life. Listening to songs with uplifting lyrics and melodies can give your feelings a healthy boost. Music can magnify your positive emotions. That’s why movies have soundtracks, to enhance the mood of the scenes we’re watching.
