Sometimes life just feels good. Our blessings come into focus, and we feel amazing! That’s what I can a mental high – a moment where worries and cares fall away and what’s most important is front and center.
But sometimes those feelings don’t come on their own. That’s when I use my acronym S.M.I.L.E. to help set me up for some better mental support. I try to See the Good, Make Magic Moments, Isolate the Issue, Listen to Loving Thoughts, and Endure to Enjoy. Focusing on these areas bring me hope and helps me progress. Best of all, it shows me that I can do something proactive to take care of myself.
On the S.M.I.L.E. tab you will find photo galleries under each part of the acronym showing how I’ve used these approaches toward feeling better in my everyday life. Just scroll down past the book excerpts to see them! I hope these examples will show you how doable this is. Life really does feel much better when you make the effort to S.M.I.L.E.!
