Happy Body: Movement & Meals

A happy body is one that is cared for and loved, no matter what it feels like or looks like.

There is only one you and the world needs you!

You have the potential to bring light, love, and life to the circle of your influence.

But how do you ensure that you feel like shining that light? How do you help yourself to have the energy it takes to love and give? It comes from taking care of you first.

It’s taken me years to understand this concept, and I know I still have a long way to go, but I’ll sum it up this way: Unless you know how to fill your cup and you take the time to do it, it’s going to be really hard to fill the cups of others. Especially if you’re exhausted, hangry, and feeling miserable about yourself. That’s when feelings like resentment and bitterness sneak in. Or we feel like failures because we’re not doing the things we want to do for ourselves.

Let’s just let that stress go. Take a few minutes, please allow yourself just a few minutes, to stretch and eat well each day. Our meals and movement matter. So move! Find something fresh and tasty, even if it’s just for a snack. Sneak in some crunches while you watch a favorite show. The little positive choices make a big impact over time and will immediately give you a sense of self-respect.

Just let your actions show the love you have for your body.

If you don’t love your body, act like you do anyway! Nourish yourself anyway. Take care of yourself with gentleness and strength anyway.
