Eva’s Easy Irresistable Oatmeal

Hi Again!
Here’s another breakfast option for days that a smoothie just doesn’t sound like you’re cup of tea. 😉  I am SO excited to share this seriously scrumptious oatmeal that has NO refined sugar and uses items that can ALL be used from your food storage!  Woot!  Woot!  In the mornings I just want something quick and easy, so it uses instant oatmeal.  If that’s not your thing, modify as you like.  Either way, you will definitely want to try it out!

Eva’s Easy Irresistible Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup Whole Grain Quick Oats
3/4-1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (depending on how thick you want it!)
1 tablespoon Honey
1/8 cup Dried Cranberries
1/8 cup Raisins
1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
2 tablespoons Unsweetened Applesauce

DIRECTIONS
Mix everything in a microwave safe bowl.  Microwave for 2 minutes.  Allow it to cool slightly, and enjoy!

I don’t use any fancy brands for anything. If you want to use the recipe as listed just be sure you use Quick Oats.  I compared the ingredients to other high end and higher priced oats, and the ingredients were the same: Whole Grain Oats.  That’s it.  So don’t stress about breaking the bank over these ingredients!

I love the natural sweetness of this recipe and its heartiness.  It also keeps well.  Last time I made some it was about 3 hours before I as able to eat it.  I popped it in the microwave for another 30 seconds and it was good as ever!  So you might even be able to mix it in the morning and then take it to work for a comforting lunch.  Yummy and easy!
